A simple yet sweet wedding for a very lovely couple along the waters edge at Kirribilli. This is such an amazing location for a wedding ceremony as you have one of the best views of Sydney as the backdrop.
The theme of the wedding was rustic and a little shabby chic but very simple and elegant. For the seating our timber chairs were used in white and stain and we arranged these on site so that they were were mismatched, however, still in a unified position. The chairs are all different designs and shapes, some of them have two or three that are the same. The collection of chairs that we have has always been eclectic and once they are all painted the same colour they have a really unique sense of togetherness.
To have the seating arranged this way with the natural Australian landscape and the industrial vibe of the city with the cool calmness of the water and the hustle and bustle of the boats going by I think that the rustic and natural look of the chairs ties together all of these elements to create a cosy space for the initiate gathering of a wedding ceremony.
The Vintage window arbour was laid down to create a sort of semi triangle for the ceremony. Unfortunately the heavy winds that day prevented us from being able to stand these up, however, this setup really gave the couple a chance to show off the background of their ceremony whilst creating a formal area.
